do you agree that Obama is Standing for the rights that the Muslims have to build a mosque defending their constitutional right to build while at the same time disagreeing with them building it so close to ground zero.

The Importance and role of Government PT2 Role
once again this is a personal view
The role of government is quite big in my opinion they should enforce laws such as taxes, and prevent crimes.
The government should be in charge of the border enforcing immigration.
this one is very unpopular i believe the government should regulate and oversee the financial sector. not control but oversee. you may make the case that government is corrupt and cant be trusted but lets be honest someone has to, and i'm pretty sure its not going to be bob from down the street.
the role of govt is to enforce building codes and to make sure spoiled or rotten doesn't get out to the public and if it does that its recalled.
their role is to make working conditions or proper and that companies pay the minimum rage to its employees.
thats just to name a few roles govt should have.
feel free to comment on your belief of what the role of govt is.

The Importance and role of Government PT1 Importnace
What is the importance and role of government?
To each person its going to be different. I came up with this idea after having a conversation with a friend of mine just a few weeks ago. ever since then i wanted to post it up and hope someone will debate with me. Also this is a personal point of view just FYI.
First lets talk about why government is important.
Lets face the facts first of all. Obama is not a very good president. just like many people during the elections i had high hopes for this new president. (obviously thats no longer the case). The biggest reason is because of his expansion of govt. like most democrats he thinks more government is the way to go. the republicans believe far less govt. in my opinion their both wrong. both parties need to reach a compromise between how much the role of the govt.
allot of people hate the government right now. but lets be honest the minute something bad happens. who do we run to? the Govt. so the govt gets involved and fix things up (sorta speak). then we start to scream what are doing? get out get lost. so they do. the same cycle will then repeat. don't misunderstand me i'm not saying Govt should rule everything. they are however necessary for some certain things. without the government we wouldn't have the FDA. now you may make the case that we have food recalls and stuff still gets through.
However its because of the FDA that the food is recalled. if it wasn't for the FDA their would not be a food recall. the companies don't care about our health they just want money. a good example of this is in the jungle (a book which i'll blog about at a later time.) the conditions were horrible back then and the way they gave food to the public was horrid. Its thanks to FDA that conditions are vastly better.
another Government provided service is building codes. now i don't know the name of the branch that handles this but i can say that its important. with out building codes our buildings would not be any better than that of Juarez (made of cardboard). you may make the case that some buildings today are made cheaply and barely passed the code. That the carpet is cheap and the tiles will only last about 5 years. but look at it this way its because of the code that there this good and not any worse.
those are but a few examples of the importance of government if there are any others you'd like to state or debate with me about feel free to email me at elegyforthefallen@gmail.com

Wall-street reform
To better show that i have no life i decided to make a separate blog on politics to better fill my otherwise boring days. to start off lets talk about the current "deal" congress has made on wall-street reform.
I want it to go on record that i like the idea behind wall-street reform. However i am very skeptical on how this administration will handle it. we all know that President Obama rushed healthcare reform when he should have waited for the economy to be "healthy" and a more comprehensible way to pay for it.
Financial reform is something that defiantly cant be rushed and brings up concerns. This seems more like a political move by the democrats, so that for the midterm elections they will have a better "resume". The republicans will also likely use this as a political move.
Supposedly the wall-street reform bill will be more harsh on banks but all they give the public is small summaries. because they know the majority of people will not go and read the whole bill. so unfortunately we may never fully understand what is in this bill.
so those are my thought on the bill feel free to share what you guys think about this.
